For those of you who watch the Discovery Channel’s show MythBusters, you may have to do a double take on this photo. These two guys (Jason And Lionel) are NOT Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman even though there is an uncanny resemblance. Jason and Lionel spent a day impersonating Adam and Jamie and fans of the show were fooled! I have to say I love the real Adam Savage’s choice of specs he always loves to be a bit different, as for Jamie Hyneman he also loves to be different but in a Star Trek kind of way especially his sunglasses!

A picture can say a thousand words but a picture of a face can say a million more! I love this picture because the man looks like he has many stories to tell even though there seems to be a lot of sorrow in his eyes. I could sit for the day and listen to stories from of old good or bad!!

I absolutely adore this frame on this girl. The Wayfarer style frame fits her really snug on her bridge and to me this is essential when choosing any plastic/acetate frame. If there is a gap on the bridge between the frame and your nose it will look odd and will be very uncomfortable, plastic frames usually don’t have nose pads. If you have a narrow bridge then choose Read the rest of this entry »

How long have you had your mascara?
Some girls (me included) just can’t live without their mascara! Along with your foundation it is an essential extension of your arm that is a must have at all times! Unfortunately if we don’t change our mascara regularly it can be a hazardous necessity.
Research by the College of Optometrists has revealed that women’s beauty habits are Read the rest of this entry »

Pick of the Week!
I love these specs as I think they suit this man very well. The frame does not take over his face and yet they are very noticeable because they are an acetate frame and they are always a little chunkier! The lens shape Read the rest of this entry »

Don't try these unsupervised!
Everybody who wears glasses is guilty of using them “incorrectly” once in a while. I have compiled a list of what I think is the most ludicrous, outrageous and preposterous ways in which I have witnessed people using their glasses! Read the rest of this entry »

Clean your specs properly!!!
Believe it or not there is a right way and a wrong way to clean your specs and most people do it the wrong way!!! By doing it the lazy way you can break your glasses or scratch your lenses and after that happens you will go to your local opticians and say “It just happened”!! Well I have news for you, it doesn’t “just happen”, it is physically impossible (rant over
) So now that we have that all cleared up here are the correct ways to clean your specs! Read the rest of this entry »
