Why such a serious face? These specs are a great fit on this guy. As he seems to have a lighter coloured hair he could have got a brighter coloured frame, but I suppose it is a matter of personal taste and confidence!

Anne Hathaway
Everywhere you look now a celebrity is wearing specs of some sort, don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great but sometimes they can really get it wrong.
Anne Hathaway has to be one of the worst offenders. I know she loves to wear her specs out in public in places some other celebs wouldn’t dare. God love her I sometimes wonder does she look in the mirror before she leaves the house!
Take a look at the pic, the specs are really nice but her eyebrows are far too heavy to carry off the look she is trying to achieve. All I can see is eyebrows, sorry Anne.
Anne is not the only guilty celeb specs offender. What celebs annoy you with their ridiculous glasses wearing?

Sore Eyes? Don't worry!
Every once in a while you are bound to get some sort of eye condition. They are more common than you might think! Here is the top five.
1. Redness: Red eye can be caused by an infection, an allergy such as hayfever, and irritation such as smoke or dust, it can be any number of things really! If the eye is infected there will more than likely be a discharge. See your doctor or optician for treatment. 2. Floaters: So many people have floaters on a constant basis which are harmless. These are most commonly described as specks that float across your vision. A sudden increase in floaters and/or flashing lights may indicate a retinal tear or detachment if this happens to you seek medical attention immediately. Read the rest of this entry »

Isn’t this lady stunning? The only thing that is irritating me is the fact that her specs are half way down her nose and she is looking over them! This is not supposed to happen. What is the point in wearing glasses if you are going to look out over them like a bold child!
If you specs don’t fit bring them to your local opticians who will happily fit them for you!
I don’t know if any of you have read the Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larsson, I have and I loved it. The first book “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” has been made into a film and Daniel Craig is playing one of the lead characters Mikael Blomkvist an investigative journalist, hence the sexy specs. The make of the specs are still unknown to us but if you do happen to know please let us know! The film was released here in Ireland on St. Stephens Day so let me know if you have seen it and how you think it compares to the book!

Let me start off the new year edition of “Specs In The City” with what can only be described as a hum dinger! WTF was this guy thinking? It has to be a joke but yet he is not smiling! I really don’t know where to start… how about the fact that his glasses are extremely crooked and don’t fit him at all! Please tell me I’m not the only person that finds this picture disturbing?

I know there is a hell of a lot going on in this photo between the blue scarf (like) and the Red hair (don’t like), but if you take away both those things and just look at her specs they actually really suit her. The shape and colour of the frame is good, someone just needs to help tame her hair a little bit!

I don’t know about you but I turn into a child at Christmas. I watch so many Christmas films and cartoons in general. I want to know who you favourite bespectacled cartoon character is, if I have left any out feel free to add them in! Have fun
